Festival Fun!

Our town has so many fun events for kids in the summer. This week there were TWO fun carnivals.
Dada has a big sweet tooth (and so do I). The kids were all sitting on the hill eating dinner and I hear Dada mumble under his breath "I need to go check on something". He comes up a few minutes later and grabs Dane. Then I see two BIG grins walking up the hill with the prize winning cake from the cake walk! I guess he figured he needed to have one of the kids to get the cake. Lucky number 9 wins AGAIN:)
Dane decided he wanted his face painted for UMM...about 2 seconds. She started to make him into a dog but he got as far as a spotted nose:)

A little of our day...

Laughing up a storm getting a piggy back ride from mommy!
A little summer reading after a dip in your "little" pool...

Playing Peek A Boo with Syd across the table. Syd said no thanks to having her picture taken

One of your favorite things to do before bed is have some popcorn and watch Boz. Tonight I peeked around the corner and Dane leaned over and gave syd a kiss and she patted his back. It was so sweet (trust me their are lots of not so sweet moments around here!) It is so great to see what they are up to when were not looking.

Nice catch Dada!

The joy of living in the Northwest...CRAB! Dada went out with the guys tonight and caught his limit of crab in no time at all. We boiled them right up and of course had to test them out. Even if it was 9:30 at night:) WOW you can't beat the taste of fresh crab. I think this will be on the weekly menu for a few more weeks (until crab season is over).

We may be having crab omelets for breakfast!

Here comes the bride...

Today daddy and I celebrated our 6 year anniversary! Wow I can't believe how much has happened in 6 short years. A move to Seattle, 2 beautiful babies, 2 new jobs (a start up for daddy and mommy has her own business) and the list goes on and on. I am so blessed to be married to such an amazing husband and daddy! Growing up I have great memories of my parents anniversary. My mom would bring down her wedding dress and try it on and we would pretend we were the bridesmaids. Then we would turn on the music and dance on my dads feet. I think marriage is a big commitment and I hope to teach our children that. So I had Nonni send my wedding dress in the mail and now we our starting our new tradition...
Special delivery!
When the kids walked down the stairs with daddy I had the table set up with hot muffins and our photo albums. We looked through all of the pictures of our wedding day... The look on their faces were awesome when they walked down for our fun day.

I think Daddy wanted one more hour of sleep as his anniversary present:)
Then Syd and Mommy tried on the wedding dress. I thought it would be fun to see her grow year to year in the dress...
Whew the dress still fits!
We decided to put on Daddy's tux jacket. Dane thought it was more fun playing in the water on the deck then playing dress up. Maybe next year or maybe NOT:)
Wow what a fun anniversary day! It was filled with swimming, the Edmonds market, the beach and having fun celebrating the big day. Then mommy and daddy had a great night out!

Happy 4th!

It was Wednesday night (3 days before the 4th) and we decided we had had enough of wearing winter coats in the glorious summer days of Seattle! So Marcus hunted on line to see where in Washington we could find some heat. Well we found the spot but trying to find a place over the 4th of July weekend was like trying to find a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. But leave it up to Marcus to find and plan a fabulous last minute vaca! We packed up the fam and headed to eastern Washington with the Woodward's. Marcus also stumbled across tickets to the Lilith Fair at the Gorge. The kids absolutely loved dancing to the music and we stayed at the concert for 5 hours...I was amazed!! Then we were off to Crescent Bar for the weekend. We scored on our amazing accommodations too. Syd and Lola are the best of friends so they entertained one another the entire weekend (plus, plus!)...

The view at the Gorge is spectacular! The kids loved running up and down the hill, dancing, and playing in the tent. Hooray for afternoon concerts!
Dane and Reese having a blast together...
The below pictures are at Crescent Bar....

Crescent Bar had a great little 4th parade that the kids LOVED. Then we were off to check out the water...
Woody is such a kid...he let the kids put mud all over his head and yes it was his idea:) They were laughing up a storm.
Dada disappeared for a few minutes and came back with these special treats! Way to go daddy! There is nothing better on a hot day than Ice Cream!! Check out Dane in the background he wants nothing to do with the photo and EVERYTHING to do with the ice cream!!
The girls are only 3 and already are sharing clothes. Lola is wearing syds swimsuit (above) and outfit below. These girls are the best of friends!

Firework time! They loved watching the worms grow and the sparklers sparkle...

Okay folks check out my mouth! See the molars I'm working on (5 to be exact). So what else does a boy do than eat my toes! Oh and yes I am in a pink car seat! I think it's manly...pink is the new blue you know:)
