Vacation Bible School

Sydney went to her first VBS this week and LOVED it!  Miss Nikka and Miss Annette were her teachers so she jumped right in.  Her new favorite CD to listen to in the car is her VBS songs.  Here is her sweet little class... 

While Miss Syd was at VBS mommy and Dane had a date and went to Dane's first movie.  Below it looks as if we would make the entire show.  However, 30 minutes in he leaned over and said "Mommy can we go?"  So off we went...thank goodness it was a $1 kids summer movie:)

I was in the other room while the kids were playing.  I decided to go in and check on them... 

Me:  "Wow Sydney you look beautiful!  I love your outfit!"

Syd:  "Thanks, mom!"  "I'm getting married"

Me:  "Oh wow!  Who are you getting married to?"

Syd:  "My Daddy!"  "Because I LOVE my Daddy!""You can come to the wedding if you want"

A day at the beach...

Today was Angie's birthday so we headed to the beach for a spontaneous celebration with the kids...

Happy Father's Day and Happy Birthday!

We had such a great weekend with LOTS to celebrate!  Miss Sydney turned FOUR and Father's day both on the same day! 

Getting spoiled by our neighbors!  Bill brought over gourmet cupcakes and Michelle brought by tons of princess stuff!  Syd was in heaven!

For one of our outings we went bowling.  You two loved it! 

Well Syd you loved it for a bit until you decided you did not care for the brown shoes (remember your obsession with rainbow colors).  Little did we know you had brought your bag filled with the princess gear.  We turned around and you shoes were off and replaced with princess high heals and of course jewelery!  You decided you would rather cheer us on:)

Miss Syd the Ballerina

Sydney and her best friends Simone, Miranda and Madeline all have been taking ballet class.  They L.O.V.E it and can't wait until Thursdays.  On Thursday we pick her up and all the girls march upstairs from school to the Olympic Ballet.  The parents wait patiently in the hall while the girls practice.  We were so excited when we heard there was a recital so we could see what they have been practicing.  The recital was held at the big theater in Edmonds and they had a full house!  Syd was not stage fright at all.  She marched right out in front of hundreds of people and did her thing.  It was SO darn CUTE!!!

Happy 4th Birthday Miss Syd

I can't believe you are 4 years old Miss Syd!  You are growing way too fast!  We had a great birthday party at the beach with all of your friends and your class from school.  You LOVE rainbows and decided you would like to have a rainbow party.  So here we are with "somewhere over the rainbow" with no black or brown to be seen (you are at a stage where you only will wear rainbow colors!!!).  So here it is....

You LOVED opening your gifts and I think you opened them all in less than 5 minutes.  You were SO excited.  

You insisted on helping to carry your gifts to the car.  You are in the process of telling us what a successful party it was....
