Aunt Momo's and Uncle Todd's Wedding

Waiting for our first flight. Headed to Missouri for Aunt Momo and Uncle Todd's Wedding. Sydney and Dane did an awesome job walking down the isle. We said Syd could not have gum until she was 4 but we decided to pull out the bribery and gum was waiting at the end of the isle! It was right during nap time so mama was a bit nervous. But they performed like champs. We are so thrilled to have a new "Uncle" in the family! We love you aunt Momo and Uncle Todd and are so happy for you both!

Mother's Day

Today was a great Mother's Day! I am so blessed to have to have Miss Syd and Dane in my life. Daddy (syd and dane) planned a great day. The weather was amazing too. They surprised me with a yummy breakfast, headed to church, had a picnic in the park and after naps went to the Bellevue botanical gardens.

ELMO!

Today we went to see Sesame Street Live with a big group of friends. We all had a great time. This landed on the start of our E week. Nothing like Elmo live to kick it off!

Momma was a sucker and bought the $50 Elmo balloon (well not really $50 but a $10 balloon...CRAZY). I normally don't impulse buy when the kids want something but heck we were at Elmo.... Dane was chanting BA BA at the top of his lungs so we bought the BA BA LOON!

Special Delivery...

The post man came to the door today with a special delivery for Miss Syd and Dane. Nonni and Poppi sent 3 big boxes loaded to the brim with clothes and all sorts of special treats. The kids were in heaven...

Sydney couldn't wait to see what was in the boxes...

I think we are set with clothes for a LONG while:)

Sydney LOVES shoes and somehow she always finds one pair that she falls in love with. She just outgrew a pair of pink coco channel shoes from Nonni that she wore everyday (if she could). So in the box were the cutest blue shoes with a huge jewel on the front. Syd loves them so much she slept in them. They are a little big but that will not stop her from wearing them EVERYWHERE!

As a child I loved when my mom made homemade donuts. We got them for special occasions and when friends spent the night. Sydney and Dane loved making the Donuts but their favorite part was shaking the hot donuts in cinnamon and sugar in their Delicious Donut bags!

On the menu for D night was: beets, BLT sandwich, raspberries and corn.

I think Sydney's favorite part of D week was the Dirt cake Dessert! She was grinning the entire time she laid eye's on these cute desserts. She made a request to have them again for her birthday:) D week was lots of fun. It turned into a lot of good food (not so healthy...but fun!).

The PERFECT May Day!!

Today was a GREAT May Day! We were so happy it landed on a Saturday. And to top it all off it was the opening day of the Edmonds market for the season. Oh how we love going down to the market to get fresh produce and flowers for the week. Daddy ran a half marathon this morning so it was the three of us and we had a blast.

We were headed to the children's museum last week with some friends and I looked back in my rear view mirror and I saw Syd and Dane holding hands. It was so darn cute. They continued to hold hands the entire 30 minute drive. I didn't have my camera. But since then they keep doing it so today I captured it:)

The finished product! I have great memories as a child of picking flowers on May Day to deliver them to neighbors. So to carry on the tradition we had a great time doing it today. Sydney and Dane LOVED running up to the doors to deliver the baskets and running away!

Daddy decided two weeks ago to run a half marathon with his old boss. He had not trained at ALL but he made it and had a great time! Congrats Daddy!

One of our neighbors found out we were the special delivery and Miss Syd got this sweet gift!

The day kept getting better and better. Sydney and Dane got a special delivery from Nonni and Poppi. I box filled to the brim with clothes, toys, suits...you name it, it was in there. Thank you Nonni and Poppi!

Then Jenn, Al and Owen came over for dinner! Sydney is all about hugging, telling everyone all the time she loves them (I LOVE this phase). So when Jenn walked in the door she jumped in her arms and hugged her for a good 5 minutes. We LOVE hanging out with the Minahan's! Here are a few pics of the kiddos:)

As I sit here typing this Marcus is putting Sydney to bed. I can hear every word they are saying. They said their prayers and sydney just said "Daddy, I had a great day"! Really it was a GREAT way to start May! Happy May Day!!!
