Nonni and Poppi

Nonni and Poppi came to Seattle to hang with you two for a week while mommy and daddy went to France... Ooh La La (like fancy Nancy would say!)  We had lots of fun together before we left town....  You guys had an even better time while we were away!

Nonni came bearing gifts as usual but this time a GIANT suitcase was filled to the brim with a new bedroom for you Miss Syd (paintings, bedspread, pillows the list goes on and on).  What would we do without our interior designer and our gardener!

Miss Syd you may require us to call you fairy princess, sleeping beauty but you still are not too much of a princess that you won't get your hands dirty (you loved touching the big fish).....

South of France

Mommy and Daddy were lucky ducks to be invited on a trip of a lifetime!  We headed to the south of France for the most beautiful wedding we will probably ever attend for Julie Link and Philipp Steffens.  Mommy and Daddy went to college with Julie and Daddy was asked to be an usher in the wedding.  Here are some pics of our fabulous trip.... 

We spent a couple of days in Cannes (one week prior to the big Cannes film fest- it was beautiful there)

The Links rented out an entire Chateau in the French Provence (in the village of Maissac-Bellevue) for the wedding guests.  Each day we were spoiled with LOTS of fun gifts....

We toured around the small Provencal villages -Tourtour, Aups and Les Ares...

The rehearsal was amazing and held at a huge castle.  We had called home to talk with you kiddos and filled nonni and poppi in on our trip.  I mentioned Brad Pitt had been in the castle the week before.  Needless to say when we returned home that sentence was turned into us sitting at the table eating dinner with Brad Pitt (ha!  Nonni we love you and your stories:))

The Wedding!

What a fun wedding to attend, long dresses and hats preferred.  They even had a team of people to do anyone that attended the wedding's hair, make-up, nails etc...  

It was a GREAT trip but it was also GREAT to get home to see you two!

went to a fairy princess party (and made it to swim and soccer all before noon) way to pull that one off Nonni and Poppi...

went to Sue Sue and Stuies for Mother's Day brunch...

went to the TOP of the space needle (you guys can't stop talking about this outing!), then rode around on the monorail and toured around the downtown Nordstrom....

Looks like it was a breeze Nonni and Poppi- your hired for full time Nanny work!!!!.  However, when we returned Nonni had a huge black eye...  She said she ran into something.  I guess we will never really know how much of a breeze the week was but the kids had a GREAT time!  We love you!
